With the passing of the US – Korea free trade agreement, there will be a greater opportunity for exporters and importers to do business in either Country. Many products are can now be imported/exported with no tariffs.

For companies that wish to export to Korea, there are still a lot of challenges beyond tariffs alone.

  • Finding the right partner
  • Import regulations
  • Labeling
  • Distribution within Korea
  • Marketing to the Korean consumer

For certain products such as food and vitamins, the KFDA is known to be very strict with regards to import requirements.
